On December 2, 2024, the Georgian Dream government

enforced a discriminatory law

Under the guise of “protecting family values and minors,” this homophobic and transphobic legislation violates

human rights, enforces censorship, and suppresses freedom of expression, assembly, and education.

The law bans any form of creative expression - films, theater, books, and art, that reflect LGBTQ+ themes or promote equality. But as history has shown, censorship never stops where it starts. The question isn’t just what’s being erased today, but what could disappear tomorrow.
